Term time only (38 weeks a year) - 8.40am  - 3.20pm  Monday to Friday 28.33 hours a week, Grade 6

From January 2022, we require a Higher Level Teaching Assistant with a passion for equality and inclusion, to join our staff team to fulfil the role of Assistant SENDCo.

This is an important administrative role within our school, working in close partnership with the Pastoral Head of School (Assistant Headteacher). The successful candidate will be given 17 hours in the first instance to fulfil administration duties associated with the position.

The remainder of the hours will involve a cover supervision commitment of 11.33 hours (4 afternoons a week). This will involve teaching Art, covering Class Teachers PPA time, under the direction of our Teaching and Learning Head of School and Art Subject Lead.

Applicants should have excellent administrative and interpersonal skills. An understanding of the SEN Code of Practice, Gloucestershire's Graduated Pathway and the Equality Act (2010) would also be an advantage. They should have a proven record of good/outstanding practice, together with a commitment to high standards, both across the curriculum and in terms of their relationships with children.

From January 2022, we require a Part-Time Inclusion Teaching Assistant, working in close partnership with a Classroom Teacher, to support targeted pupils during core subjects. The remaining hours are to support play and physical activity, whilst safeguarding pupils and implementing our Relationships (Behaviour) Policy during lunchtimes.
